Ms. Dvorsky's Class is learning about erosion! We got in touch with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers who are working on preserving the shoreline of Lake Michigan. They agreed to come speak with us about the recent 9 mile project they have just completed. They brought pictures showing us the steps of the different projects, answered all of our questions, and even brought some materials for us to build with after learning about what it takes to make a strong foundation. We then headed into the DLab to re-enact erosion of wind, water, and ice via fan, blow dryer, straw, spray bottle, watering can, and ice cubes. What a great morning of learning!
