Our second graders have been learning the basics of coding with our Bee Bots. With a partner, they kept track of what coding commands they entered into Bee Bot to get it from the start of the path to the end. The "test" came at the end. When they got Bee Bot all the way to the end, they let me know they were finished. I then cleared the code from Bee Bot (gasp!) and re-entered the code from their paper. If all was done correctly, the code from the paper should get Bee Bot to the end! They did an outstanding job! Now they're ready to code Bee Bot through the communities they've designed in class as part of their social studies unit!
